The GIANT pumpkin has arrived!

Our GIANT pumpkin had quite the journey to arrive on campus today!

Did you know our GIANT pumpkin was grown right here in Carlsbad? Our GIANT pumpkin started its day freshly harvested and waiting for someone to take it home from the pumpkin patch at Carlsbad Strawberry Company. It was so big that it took 2 really strong guys to put it into the car.

Next stop was KRC Rock to get weighed. This required the use of a forklift and a scale meant to weigh rocks! The wonderful people at KRC Rock were so wonderful and happy to help weigh this GIANT pumpkin.

Finally, the GIANT pumpkin arrived on campus. What would we do without Mr. Armondo and Mr. Johnson?!? Our GIANT pumpkin will be in the courtyard until Monday, October 13th, when one lucky family gets to take it home!!

Before this GIANT pumpkin goes home with someone, we will have to give it a name and find out how much it weighs. All students will be given the chance to suggest a name, which will be drawn at random. All students will also be asked to guess the weight of the GIANT pumpkin. The student with the closest guess will win a prize. The name and weight of our GIANT pumpkin will be revealed the week before the Pumpkin Patch event.

Are you interested in taking our GIANT pumpkin home? Raffle tickets will be sold up until October 13th. Click here to purchase your raffle tickets.
