Our final food drive of the year was a big success!

This drive was hosted by our 1st and 5th-grade buddies. They did a great job making posters to put up around the LS campus and we collected 226 individual donation items from our school community.

In addition to that, our 1st graders generously donated $599 from Chez Rhoades! Many more groceries were purchased with these funds based on the food bank’s list of “most needed items” (16 bags worth!), and we added that into our food drive contribution.

After counting out our items at daily dialogue, the 1st and 5th buddies helped to pack up these items, and then the 5th graders helped load everything up in the car. It was then delivered to the North County Food Bank. We donated a total of 414 pounds of food!
