The Girl Rising Bazaar will be held on Friday, March 15, from 5:30-7:30pm in the Rhoades School courtyard and auditorium. The Bazaar is about raising awareness and fundraising for our mission to "Educate a Girl, Change the World." In past years, we have shown the "Girl Rising" film. This year we will have a panel of speakers, including Peacemakers from the International Rescue Committee. The Peacemakers are young refugees who have been resettled in San Diego. They tell their stories of perseverance in pursuing their education. Also on the panel is Charlene Espinoza. She was a Peace Corps volunteer in West Africa. Now she is empowering women in Liberia through her company Bosh Bosh where women are learning a trade and receiving an education. We will have several local vendors at the event selling jewelry, clothing, bags, dreamcatchers, soaps, candles, etc....and food! The Bazaar is a wonderful event where the Girl Rising Club members are ambassadors, leaders, educators, and hosts to our Rhoades School community and beyond.
Please invite your friends and family to the Bazaar on March 15th!
