January 15, 2019

The Rhoades Foundation is thrilled to present Mr David Baroway as our next speaker in the 2018-2019 Parent Speaker Series on Friday, February 1 at 8:45 am in the Kittle Auditorium. Mr. Baroway will discuss internet safety and cyberbullying, and how to identify the dangers of the internet by providing tools and resources to help keep our children safer while online.  During the presentation to parents Mr Baroway will discuss many of the sites that our children are visiting, as well as providing an overview of the current trends and problems that can potentially arise from online behavior.

After presenting to our parent community Mr Baroway will then visit with grades 4-8 throughout the day. Each presentation is age appropriate and includes discussions on cyberbullying, downloading music, posting images and videos, risky online behavior on social networking sites. He will also discuss chatting online, online gaming, and other age appropriate topics for each grade.

Mr Baroway is the founder and Executive Director of Internet Safety Consultants. He is a retired Law Enforcement officer with over 24 years of experience. He draws from both his Law Enforcement experience and his parenting to give an honest perspective of living in a super connected world. We are excited to welcome him as part of our Parent Speaker Series.
