Parent Education Series- Helping your Child Navigate Friendships in the Digital Age

September 19, 2017

The Rhoades Foundation is pleased to announce the first speaker in our Parent Education series on September 29th at 8:45 in the Kittle Auditorium.  Please join us as we welcome local clinical psychologist and author Dr. Adria O'Donnell.  Dr. O'Donnell has specialized in working with children and adolescents for the past 15 years and has spoken at numerous area schools.  She will be sharing her insights on how to help your child navigate friendships and peer relationships in the digital age.  After the parent discussion, Dr O'Donnell will be talking to students in grades 5-8 and reinforcing concepts that they learn in The Rhoades School emotional and social curriculum.

Dr O'Donnell is a licensed clinical psychologist practicing in San Diego.  For the past 15 years she has worked with children and adolescents.  Her foci are on anxiety and stress management, conflict resolution skills, tech-aggression and relational aggression.

In these areas, Dr. O'Donnell has become a coveted public speaker and has developed several pioneering programs.  Her "Brave Talk" program is designed to teach children practical tips to maintain their "truth" and balance during peer conflicts and teach kids and teens a type of "verbal self-defense", conflict resolution skills and other forms of self-empowerment.

We look forward to welcoming Dr. O'Donnell to the Rhoades School.   Please visit her website to learn more about Dr. O"Donnell's expertise:
