March for Science - San Diego is a local, family friendly group looking to raise awareness of the contributions of science to society. The group will demonstrating San Diego's leadership in Science among 500 Marches for Science around the world on April 22. The primary objective is to encourage face to face conversations between scientists and the public. The event will showcase prominent scientists from San Diego's premier research institutions, including UCSD and the The Scripps Research Institute. This is an opportunity for the Rhoades Community to participate and support a great cause, especially considering our school's strong science curriculum and our children's interest in scientific research.
A small group of parents, students and friends will be joining the Scripps team for the march on April 22. We will be meeting at 9.30am at the corner of Ash and Kettner in front of the Rite Aid (1411 Kettner Blvd) and proceeding to Civic Center Plaza (1100 Third Ave, San Diego CA 92101) in time to listen to the speakers at 10am. We would love for you to join us with your family and look forward to your participation. Reach out to Sridhar Nagarajan (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have any questions about the event. See you on Saturday in your Rhoades spirit wear!
