Managing Disappointment and the Drive to be Perfect

February 21, 2017

Does your child strive to be perfect and struggle with managing disappointment?

Our children are often high performing overachievers.   Their spirits can rise and fall with success and failure.   To help us better support and understand these emotions, the Rhoades Foundation will be hosting a special guest speaker on March 3rd at 8:45 am.  Dr. Jodi Abramowitz, Clinical Psychologist and Director of "Balance Wellness Center," will speak to parents about helping our high-achieving children manage perfectionism and disappointment.

In this workshop Dr. Jodi Abramowitz will discuss the positive and negative aspects of perfectionism and how to best support your child. She will share strategies for managing parental anxiety and ways parents can support their children through use of stress management and coping techniques.

Please join us for this Parent Education Series discussion and presentation.  The session will be held in the Kittle Auditorium following Flag Salute.  To learn more about Dr. Abramowitz and the Balance Wellness center please click here.  We hope to see you there.
