It is time again to embrace the spirit of the holidays at the Rhoades School. The Rhoades Foundation will be helping our students both expand their creative spirits and their charitable goodwill again this year with our Winter Crafts event and our support for the Toys for Tots program.
It all begins this Thursday December 1st when a representative from the US Marine Corp. at Camp Pendleton will join us at flag salute to announce and kick off our support for the annual Toys For Tots program. This program allows our children to make a donation of a new, unwrapped toy that will help less fortunate local children enjoy this special holiday season. We will have collection bins on campus from December 1st through December 16th and we appreciate your support of this very worthwhile charitable organization.
The Marines will be back on campus again to join our children in creating special Winter Crafts on December 12th and 13th. Join us for a fun, festive after-school winter crafts event sponsored by the Rhoades Foundation. Students are invited to make winter crafts, enjoy cider and cookies after school from 3-5, at the lunch tables on the athletic field. We’ll also have fun photo props and free give-a-ways. Parents must be present unless a student is registered in advance for aftercare. This special Foundation event is free for all our children and we would ask those who are attending to make a donation to Toys For Tots if you can.
Please contact Lisa Porcelli at email@example.com if you have any questions about either event. We look forward to sharing this special time of year with our families and enjoying the spirit of the season.
