Penny the Pumpkin

Our GIANT pumpkin has a name! Penny!

Mrs. Laff and Mrs. Ruppert drew a name Wednesday morning, and Maddie in 3rd grade’s name choice was drawn.

Our kids came up with some other amazing name choices. Here are some of the favorites:

Once our GIANT pumpkin had a name, it was time to find out who guessed the closest weight. Before we announced that, we had some other notable guesses to reveal.

Smallest Guess: 2.3 lbs by Devan in 2nd grade

Biggest Guess: 30,000 lbs by Ayden in 1st grade

Most Exact Guess: 349.508 lbs by George in 4th grade

Least Exact Guess: 150-200 lbs by Ethan in 4th grade

Most Creative Guess: 5 kg by Marie in 5th grade

Actual Weight: 172 pounds!

The winner was Devin in 4th grade, who was amazingly only 1lb off with his guess of 173 pounds.
