Girls Rising Bazaar

Congratulations to Girls Rising for a hugely successful Bazaar! They were able to raise over $1200 during their fun night at the Middle School. This year the theme was Flowers Around the World: Let Diversity Bloom. The Foundation is proud to support Girls Rising in their efforts!

In the words of 8th grader, Rachel Le:

Thank you to all the people who came to the Girl Rising Bazaar last Friday. In total, the event raised over $1,200 from the raffle and student vendors combined! All the proceeds will go to supporting the educations of the girls we sponsor, in Bangladesh and Guatemala. We would like to thank all the parents who contributed to the Bazaar’s delicious food, which was enjoyed by everyone. Guests were able to explore the different student vendors selling a wide variety of handmade items, ranging from bracelets, soaps, and sweets. Most importantly, we had an international panel of guest speakers who shared their stories of perseverance.
